Race Batteries: Which one is a good one?
I previously have the braille auto battery and after using it for 2.5 years now, it died out completely (and is not rechargeable).
I'm looking into getting a new light-weight battery and was wondering what you guys are using? If you can state the weight along with your review that would be helpful.
thanks,
Kev

I just got an Odyssey PC680 from Brandon (Hawkze_2.3) yesterday after thinking his original was bad. This sucker is small and only 15lbs! Mounted it right under the original battery tray using some L brackets... still need to mess with it a little.
Starts my car up just as if I never took out the original battery. Great little battery IMO. I don't have a crazy system, so it works for me.

It's a lot lighter. Anyway, how many amps does the stock battery put out? I've got the AdvanceAuto Silver which puts out 730/550 cold, and my Civic battery is 550/430 cold. What's the OEM recommended spec?

Re: (InvaderTrax)
I want to know a little info about this aswell. I was thinking either the NRG or the Odyssey. I just want to find a smaller battery to relocate inside the car. These can be mounted sideways right?

Yes it does. Loosing weight is the same as gaining horsepower, plus it has handling and breaking benifits....read up.

somthin ive been meaning to ask but never got to it...would the odessey have enough juice to power my hids? i dont have any big sound systems or anything, my only worry is that my hids will kill the battery faster.

Your battery is only needed to start your car. The question you need to ask is will your alternator put out enough juice to power your HIDs

yes, they are drycell so they can be mounted sideways.

HIDs have lower wattage output than normal halogen bulbs, so it takes less power to run them.

it takes a little more power to start the HID ballasts, however when they are running, it uses less power.
