I work at a car dealership which obviously has a sticker machine. The person that goes out and works on/inspects the state inspection stations was telling me that in 2008 any car older than 1995 will need need an emissions test in mass.
Anyone can confirm this? Sounds to good to be true.

It's bullshit. I recently had to grease a guy (yet again) for an inspection sticker due to the test pipe on my car and I asked the owner of the station about this. He said it's untrue.
I hope it is the case though. Neither my Civic or my GN pass emissions at this point.

Alot of other states are already doing this. Here in Jersey if the car is OBDII its gets the scanner, everything else gets the sniffer.

one of my buddies college professors is on the Mass. State Emissions board.
he said that it is on the ballot, but that they have dealt with this same idea before and it hasnt passed. its just one of those things that will keep coming around, but not get through unless a flook occurs |

I'm pretty sure Ohio is getting rid of Emissions testing ALL together....
I guess that's one positive, to combat SOOOOOOOO many negatives of Ohio lol |

I would not be suprised if they dropped 95 and older cars because by then most of them are 150K or more miles and a lot of them are no longer on the road..

That's how it is here, OBD-1 and older only need a safety inspection.
