Default once again....clutch cable brakes

i dont know how many times i have posted this...but each time i try something new and it still doesnt work.

b16 y1 tranny, 6 puck single press.plate

first i had the dual pressure plate using the integra clutch calbe...after about 2 brakes, i downgraded the pressure plate. i broke one with the single plate, and about to brake a second one. ive check to see if it was rubbing against something, but that wasnt it. i tried getting the integra cable, and it lasted longer but still broke. now i dont have the cable mounted down anywhere on the brackets in the engine bay but on the tranny itself. could this be why? my friends have the same set up but this doesnt happen to them. what could it be???? TIA
