Ebay (Thunderbolt) Spun Cat? Good/Bad?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...QrdZ1
Anybody have any experience with this cat? The quality looks great... but then again it is sold on ebay... i'm curious to know if anyone has run by this product and if they can give me their input, i'd appreciate it.
I found this in the prelude section, but didnt help much.

Re: Ebay (BigRonDawg)
I run this cat on my 00 teg and it works fine. There is no place for the 02 sensor but I converted to obd1 anyways. I used this Cat and this muffler

and it sounds real nice. Has a nice low groan to it under acceleration. You can roll the windows down drive hard and still have a conversation. I like it. As far as performance goes, I have no idea.

Re: Ebay (DC-4-Drew)
how is it like quality-wise?
im basically trying to get a cat on my car because i did my swap and put a quick fix test pipe in place of the cat to get the car running. the test pipe leaks like a bastard and im sick of it... i want a nice cat that works and doesnt stink like it would without a cat.
anybody else have any performance input. i know it's not going to feel like a test pipt, but say compared to their stock cat... any input is appreciated!!

that cat looks nice, very similar to the SMSP ones (though the price does have me wondering how long this one would last). and i have bought from that seller a few times before with quick service.

I'm not even sure what the length is... if this cat is only 11 in, that's fine, i'll just extend it at the muffler shop because i already have a weird exhuast setup because i took my cat back exhaust off of my coupe and made it fit on my hatch.
I'm probably going to get this cat, so far no bad posts, and from the pictures it looks very good in quality. It's made by thunderbolt, i searched for them on google with no luck. Any mor comments? I will be making the purchase probably this weekend, so i have until then to have my mind changed!
I will post my review if i purchase...

Re: Ebay (BigRonDawg)
Id pass because I seriously hate eBay with a passion and will never use eBay/paypal. Horrid customer service like you wouldn't believe, even as a powerseller.

Re: Ebay (cambopheonix56)
they are a lot better... normal converters the shell is made and then the honey comb is pressed in and the shell is welded around it. On the spun cat the metal is spun around the honeycomb so that its much harder to break loose. i work at a muffler shop and we have used them a lot here lately. just my 2 cents though

Thanks for the info! You say this because you had bad service with ebay/paypal, or with the person selling this cat?

I also found something in a truck forum about these cats, but the guy ended up not installing it because of a clearance issue on his truck... if anyone finds anything worth wile, keep me posted!
