Wow... I've seen a lot of forums that have restrictions, but this one... 20 day AND 20 posts? Wouldn't it just be better to have admins verify and manually activate accounts?

That'd be a pain in the butt, for the world's 19th most popular website. Even with as many moderators and administrators there are here, they shouldn't be required to manually watch each registration. That's just way too much to ask.

Ok, that's enough questions for this thread.

Needless bumps will be reported as well.

My profile says I've been a member for 21 days. I'm trying to post to forums and it tells me I don't have permission.

According to this thread, I shouldn't be a trial user anymore, right?

You only have 3 posts. That's why.

Sorry for posting this here, I cannot easily find a help thread that I can post into with this limited account.

I have an existing member account that I am locked out of. It is emailing "forgot password requests" to me at an email address that has been discontinued. I can't IM anyone or I would have gone straight to the administrator or moderators. What can I do? I can't even find an area for help on this. Maybe I am not looking hard enough. Please, help me if you can, or direct me to someone who can.

Thank you,
John Bontke

I hate to say it, but it looks as though your not going to get that account back, unless you can change your email. You would need to verify your ownership of the account, which is difficult if you don't carry the same email as it did originally. My advice would be to get full user status, and then email George Knighton about it.

Hmm... there has to be a way for me to uniquely identify the account. Normally I would not mind losing the account, but since credibility is a large part of this forum. I would like to recover it.

I am assuming that I would need to im George Knighton through honda-tech? Thanks for your help Matt.

IM'ing him would be a hit/miss prospect. He gets such a large quantity of IM's, I can't guarantee your success with IM'ing him. That's why I suggested email.

How can I email Geroge? His email is hidden, probably for a good reason, and the only option I have is to IM him.

Try his AIM contact info. or just IM him. That's your best bet right now. He used to have his email listed, but maybe he changed that recently.
