To those who have replaced thier main relay (4 Gen)
How do you get to it to take it out? The closest I got to it was taking off the bottom plastic cover below the steering wheel. While I was under there I couldn't find a way to get it out. I know its screwed in up top but i don't know how to get to that screw. Any help would be appreciated.

I stuck a screw driver in the sides to pry the grey away from the red inner part and pull out the red part, do the same with the new one and slide the new one into the old casing and done.

The bracket kinda looks like an upside down T (if you use your imangination) and the cross part of the T keeps it from falling off. What you need to do is push the main realy up so it is above the cross of the t (up the shaft lol) and then once you do that, pull it in the z direction to pull it off the bracket.

and i think i am just going to zip tie the new one up there and leave the old one bolted in. seems like the easiest way.

Take out the gauge cluster it is right behind where the tach is. I bought my relay from http://www.hondaautomotivepart...h.jsp but it was $50. I saw one on ebay for like $30. I just wanted to buy a new one so I hopefully never had to do this again. Good Luck

Sorry for being a smartass. It's the ECU board for my mid-engine Mini. Wiring it that way made it Much easier to debug. The ECU goes behind the passenger seat and the main relay made sense going right there.

to kb, you are nuts.
to the op, i had to go as far as taking out the gauges to reach the 10mm bolt to actually unscrew it...a lot of people just unplug the harness and plug in a new one and leave the old one bolted on because they can't reach the bolt...

you can pop the relay outta that bolted on housing, you did a lot of work for such a simple job....
