wow, talk about motivation. i'm seriously thinking about picking up a itr shell and restoring it. say if i get a completely stripped shell like dsav4shawn's, how much would i need to spend to completely restore it? would it cost the same as buying a well maintained itr or what?

These are the same guys i purchased my salvage itr from. In my opinion, this is an easy fix. Too bad the title is parts only. Makes a really nice track car..

How are you guys doing this, are you jumping in blindly to see how far your wallet will stretch or budgeting the project in advance? Is it rare to find a clean title shell? Best of luck for everyone.

nobody really wants to pay attention to how much this is going to cost... but the way I see it. it'll cost about as much as a salvaged title R to put back together.

I finally Sold the R a month or so ago... Parted the Turbo set up out and Sold it with a Stock 00 JDM Type R motor.. Ended up with 30 000$ CA in total... Lots of moeny but I still miss her..... Time to grow up and buy a house plus I got my 03 GPW S2k when I wanna vtecccccc!

This is a sic ass thread, its made me decide to look for a shell and bring a Type R back to life thats been stolen, I am so tired of hearing about these amazing cars being stolen and ripped apart. Great Job man with getting everyones projects up I really enjoyed looking at everyone of them.
