Default Built B20Vtec or Built Type R?

I am considering two different motor setups and I'm having trouble deciding which route to take. I currently have a 2000 B18c5 in my EG and was thinking of just sticking with the Type R and do some head work to it (valvetrain, P&P, etc....) My other option is to get a b20 block with high compression pistons, and also do some mild head work to the Type R head. What do you guys think?

you already have the type r so id just stick with that and build it..u can sleeve the b18 to a 2L instead of buying the b20 block

i like the type r. but overall it would be pretty much equal if both were built? Stick with what you have.

Stick with the R, get a good header, port the intake manifold, and valvetrain/m22 or blox b camshafts.

Oh yeah, maybe a 2-layer gasket and flat faced valves for a tiny bump in compression.

Finally, most important get it tuned.

I have a B20VTEC setup now but if you already have the C5 and it's running, why change it up?? stick with it and build it up slowly...it's more cost effective
