Try searching for cbr cluster, gsxr cluster, r1 & r6 cluster. I'm guessing the Honda ones might be the way to go because they might be made from the same company that makes 'em for Honda autos. The tach might just plug into the factory harness. </TD></TR></TABLE>
Yea, that's where I found those pics. The R1 and R6 clusters redline a little too high. The hond clusters appear to have only one plug that attaches to them. Having a wiring diagram would help immensly. Those clusters can be had for about $100-$200, but you don't have the datalogging capablities. Kind of a bling thing

Here's more info. specifically on the SpA "CDS"
http://www.spa-uk.co.uk/design/dashsystem.asp
This also looks interesting, albeit kinda "busy"
http://www.spa-uk.co.uk/design/microdashsystem.asp
I suspect it's more for open wheeled cars with no place to mount such gauges conveniently.

The only reason why I would consider upgrading the factory cluster is because I moved the seating position way back and I can't see the tach too well. The racing clusters are way too expensive (rather use the money on additional track time) and using an Autometer tach (I really hate autometer stuff ) or these motorcycles clusters offer the best bang for the buck.

Has anyone ever actually fit one of those motorcycle clusters into a honda? Seems like it would be a lot of work. I love the CBR cluster so much though I think it'd be worth it.

Re: anyone use STACK dash displays ? (Kouki-EK9)
Im very serious considering selling my Defi oil temp/ oil pressure/ water temp BF gauges to a Stack ST700 Dash Display, attached is the photo where I mount them now.
its under the center console which is extremely hard to see DURING race. I dont want to put all of them mounted on A piller either in front of the CTR gauge cluster.
i had to mount them there with no options as stock stero 1 din is filled with engine start button and 2 electrical shut off 'key' thingy.
honestly guys, i find out http://www.racerpartswholesale.com sell the ST700. even with the sensors it wont cost more than 1g. I can just cut/dig out the tachnometer off the CTR cluster and swap this thing in there. considering the Defi's cost like 700 already..

More like 600 with water temp, oil pressure, oil temp and control link II package. it can link up to 7 gauges if i remember it right. I didnt check the prices lately. but either its 600 or 700, if i can go back i would pay extra 200-300 for the ST 700 for sure. whats the point if you cant access/read the gauges when the warning beep sounds (busy on track traffic and turns), 3 gauges together is hard to move all of them around but one is easiler and i can just mod the CTR cluster to do the job.
The whole point of getting these gauge is indeed.. you want them to READ as accurate as possible. And defi does have the reputation to read accurately and last quite long, i have these gauges for like 3 years

for those of you wanting to put a honda motorcycle cluster in your car, here is a link to honda manuals for most common hondas (F4i, 929/954, 1000RR etc) in .pdf form.

no prob, if you do try this let me know how it turns out. You can get honda clusters (especially F4i's and 929/954's) pretty cheap.

Re: anyone use STACK dash displays ?
Hey guys..
sorry for bringing this back from the dead but I just finished my new custom stack dash for my street driven EG6 SFWD build so I thought I will share some pics with you guys. Maybe there are some other strack dash users here. I would like to see your dashes too :-)
The aluminium plates holding the gauges will be black anodized in a few weeks. They were laser cutted. I used a mil spec connector for hooking up all the dash lights like turn signal, high beam ect.

Re: anyone use STACK dash displays ?
The VW dealership i work at has them in there A3 and A2 ITB golfs. There so nice. I know alot of people are running the racepack systems now. Cost savings are the main reason.
I looked into buying the Stack REv counter and fitting it into the factory cluster, I also looked at installing the LED shift light set-up. Something i could mount somewere so you never needed to look at the revs. Ended up making the car louder then everyone else and never need to look now. LOL.
But the Stack system in the ITB cars is very nice. Only ran my bosses A3 on a practice day, and found it so easy to read and use. My boss is about 6 inch taller then me and in much better shape. So i was sunk way down and using my toes a bit. I could still easly read the stack dash. It was weird going from a motor that makes power between 6000-8200, and then getting in the golf that is done making power around 7200RPM. So to say the least seeing the REVs mattered.

Re: anyone use STACK dash displays ?
looks good and nice work on the fab!
too bad stack is a bit outdated now, as there are plenty of other systems that provide more info, in a better display, for less money.

Re: anyone use STACK dash displays ?
I love the stack gauges but way out of range of what I can afford, the black with white numerals matches my vintage stock cluster, I just wanted an oil pressure and voltmeter, I wish they made a dual oil pressure/temp gauge
