Notching crossmember to clear header? CRX
Sorry to post this in here, but I figured I would get a better response than in the CRX forum. Move if necessary.
It's a 90 CRX Si with a D16, stock mounts.
With the crossmember bolts loosened about 1/4" the crossmember clears the header. With the bolts torqued, the crossmember barely touches the header. Not enough room to get a piece of paper between, but not close enough to leave a mark on the header.
Would notching the crossmember about 1/4" where needed be acceptable? 1/2" if needed?
