Default Compression question.

I've been gathering information on building a custom turbo setup for a k20a3. You hear everyone say that the lower compression of the k20a3 motor is beneficial for boosting.

My question is: When is it actually beneficial?

My goal for this setup is to obtain around 250hp with the most low-end torque possible.

Sorry, there seems to be a misunderstanding. I was asking when a lower compression is beneficial.

edit: And yes, I am Korean

lower compression is better in general for boost, as it allows for less likelyhood for detonation/knock/herpes/diabetes. CR= compression ratio. Anyway, just google it if you want to know more, or spend some time in FI forum.

Seems like you are not sure what you are asking about... for your app, getting 250whp is not going to require any lower CR.
