I just installed the Tanabe Super Hyper Medallion Racing on my DC4, and as far as quality, it's flawless. Probably a bit better than Apexi. Sound, I wouldn't say it is too loud at all, I mean mine only has probably 10 miles on it so it has a bit of wearing in to do.

The only thing I was a little displeased with was the location and position on the muffler. From what I've read it's supposed to be very similar to the N1 style Apexi and the likes, but it doesn't have a real angle on it. I like the N1 look. I was looking for the up and angled to the right look.

But overall, great product. My car is still on storage for the winter so unfortunately I don't have a sound clip as of yet. Good luck finding one, even Team-Integra's "exhaust purchasing guide" doesn't have it on there.

i had the SMR on my DC2 for about 3 months. I hated it.... looks way toooo BIG and doesn't sound the best either. As for quality..... **** POOR - Tanabe =
After that 3 months the hanger on the B-pipe broke off and Tanabe would not do **** for me to reimburse me.

Stick with Apexi N1 out of the 2 you asked about, never heard of people having problems with them and they look a million times better.
