Taking off VSS ?

Taking off VSS ?
From reading some post on here i decide to try and fill the tranny fluid from the VSS. From what i know and see post on here. Theres 3 screws. I want to know do you have to take both of screws off the bracket in order to get it all off or just one screw? Because in some post people said u could just take one screw which is the taller screw off and the whole thing should come off together. Is that true ? What is the easiest way to take it off with messing it up or droping anything? Well i hope u guys could help me out. thanks..

There are two screws that hold it in. Just take the 2 off 10 mm I believe you are going to need like 4 extensions. Jiggle the sucker out. It may just pull out if you are as buff as I am. Get a long funnel at your local parts store and fill er up. DO NOT OVERTORQUE THE BOLTS when you put them back in.

What he said. That's how I filled my tranny fluid just take off the two screws and unplug the connector and jiggle out the VSS from the tranny intself, just leave the connector hanging down and place the VSS in a clean place so it doesn't get any dust. This is so much easier then filling the tranny from the bottom

Just make sure you have a funnel thin enough to fit in the hose you are going to put in the tranny and a hose long and thin enough to fit through the hole. There is no need to put the hose all the way through just the tip is fine. Make sure you don't overflow.

ok guys this is what i did. i didnt take off the harness. i took off the 1 long bolt that stand out . then pretty much it came all together out. then i fill it up and plug it back in.
i then did some test drive and it was fine but after 4hrs i decide to take it to the store it seem kinda rough in first and second. like hard to shift from 1st to second. but 3rd , 4th , and 5th are smooth. i dont know wrong with it. plus it seem like my motor is louder under the hood now too. so i dont know whats going on.
so did i mess up the VSS or is just that i just change the tranny fluid?
i think i did kinda over torque the long bolt that hold the vss onto the tranny. i hope i didnt mess it up.
let me know what you guys think...

i think you paranoid haha no seriously you never pay attention to shyte like that until you work on something. if your vss was messed up your speedo would not work
unless you tranny is dry you have nothing really to worry about except for leaks or so

i dont think the vss is not working.. my speedo is fine. over all i put in 3 quarts into my LS tranny. Thats how much it came out to when i drain it or just alittle less. It just seem like im riding my clutch even though im not. So i dont know if its normal because i just change the fluid or what. i know my clutch is fine. i dont even rev my motor high. i dont have the $ to fix it yet so my ride been stock every since i got it. alright i hope this will go away.
