Default Why do I keep fouling out my spark plugs?

Okay I have a 00 gsr with 118,xxx miles and is kept up with regularly. I have had it since september and have put 4 or 5 sets of spark plugs in it. Why am I fouling them out so often? I have I/H/E ect. Now one thing that I am removing in about a week is my MSD, could that be some/all of my problem? Please help me here. Thanks H-T

when my car had similar mods it would do the same thing. i dont use the msd now and it seems to have gone away. could anyone else chime in and let us know if the msd might be to blame here.

I am pulling the MSD of on the 24th (weather permitting). Can anyone confirm this?

any codes? a o2 sensor could be stuck on running rich. i would probably expect the MSD. maybe it's not igniting the fuel mixture enough

i think all of that could have to do with it.

a stock ecu is designed to 'learn' to some degree, but its not really meant for all these add-ons.

it may be running rich and just needs to be tuned properly for your mods.

No they are extremly white.

no codes, brand new 02 sensor. Converted to OBD1

I am putting a new timing belt and water pump on in a week or so.

But thats the weird thing, I am pretty sure that I am running rich, ya I know that white=lean, but when at WOT I can smell the fuel pretty good. I am just confused.
I am pulling the MSD off on the 25th FINALLY

Thats all I can think of, I have never known anyone to have MSD on a honda and not have problems out of it. Oh well the MSD has a little over a week left to aggervate me. Thanks

Hondas run rich from the factory, yet the plugs (OEM, completely stock motor) will be white.....to the point which most people will say its running too lean. What makes you think you are fouling plugs? If they are white, they arent fouled by any means, fouled is the point which they are so black/covered in crap that the car wont run, which doesnt appear to be your problem.

White = Lean. Like stated before, fouling, is when your plugs are so black, and covered with deposits, that they actually ground the electrode, and you get a mis-fire. It happens all the time in my airplane. Its from running rich, and the combustion doesn't completely melt the leaded airplane fuel. And since the airplane engine isn't computer controlled, the pilot (me), has to control the mixture.

You are running the s100 right?? I would take it and get it tuned. That should take care of the problem.

I would love to have it tuned but there is no one in my area that can tune it, and right now I cannot afford to drive out of state and have it tuned nor can I afford to have it tuned. Sometime in the near future I am going to get it tuned.

Now when I say I am fouling them out I mean when I drive on the plugs for...lets say a month-month and a half my car starts misfiring. It misfires more when vtec has engaged especially in 3rd and 5th gear.
