I've got a 92 eg8 and my steering wheels squeeks pretty loudly whenever I turn left. It ONLY happens when I turn left, and it ALWAYS happens when its cold outside. In the middle of the summer I don't really notice it, so if its happening then its a lot quieter. It isn't any harder to turn than usual and I've noticed no other problems with it, but its really annoying and embarrasing if I have passengers in the car. Anyone know what this could be?
EDIT: For clarification, the sound is coming from behind the steering wheels somewhere. There is nothing wrong with the suspension/tierods or anything, and it can only be heard inside the cab. Modified by transpar_nt at 8:30 PM 12/18/2005

check all your boots in the suspension (axels, steering rack, etc...) also, check your steering column maybe it needs to be greased up a bit?

The thing I can't figure out is why it only happens when turning left. If it needed greasing, wouldn't it make sound both ways?

with the key all the way to the on position(this will release the steering lock)
have a friend turn the steering wheel left while you stick your head under the wheel and see where the noise is coming from. i had a loose bolt under there before, can't remember if it made any noise, but it was just loose, and I think it was somehow attached to a spring on the steering rack. that could be your problem, that spring might be compressing and decompressing when you turn left.

sounds like a power steering issue, either the pump or the rack..........
