Dang man, there's no stopping you.

I thought I read you were running limited psi because of a map sensor issue? Did you get a 3 bar?

just wandering for those of you that say this is done to keep the cylinder walls round? is this what the purpose of the block girdle on gsr's is or does it strengthen the block in a different way?

hey, im thinking about doing this to my b18, but im looking for a little more of a race application, not as much worried about over heating. so how much more can i fill up the block to get the most strength? what method would you recommend? how much devcon should i get? let me know your thoughts, i might end up just copying you. tnx

well my block will do 500whp.

you can fill as much as 3/4 of the water jacket. tht would take about 3 lbs of devcon

The girdle supports the main bearing caps, reducing flexing and keeping everything around the crank under control. It's on the other end of the block, under the crank.

and then you have to get them welded in at a machine shop. get your block decked, and bore your cylinders so they are round...how much does that total up to?? ALOT! even if you get the ones that tap in, you still have to get it bored out. this is about $50 in supplies... takes a bit of time to prepare, but well worth it in the end.

also, like he said the block guards are this thick I_____I
and the devcon is this thick I___________I

heres my 3 favorie runs

good run 1 run 2 street tire run

.665 .404 .683
2.075 1.991 2.683
5.410 5.301 7.869
7.956 7.885 11.509
98.50 96.70 77.79
10.109 10.086 14.002
11.958 11.956 15.982
122.19 120.97 117.51`

these runs were on tiny slicks with a 4k launch. im really not a good rriver at all. if i could drive the car would go mid low 11s as it sits. looking forward to some low low 11s after the new head cams and intake mani go on. and for the record. scottsi is chinese and wrong yet again. i ran a bunch of times, mostly mid high 12s. but the constant for the day was my trap speed. it was a consistent 117-122 mph. not bad for a 2818 lb car with me in it on 20x8x14 slicks tat looked liek rubber bands.

go b16a go
