Default Electrical problem - short?

OK, so I have a 95 Honda Accord, LX 4 door non Vtec inline 4.

The problem that I have is that my front passenger side door always shows that it's open. This problem first occured for me in Nov 04. About 6 months later it went away. Then it came back around summertime and I've had it ever since. I also noticed that when I have this problem, that my rear defog does not work (switch doesn't even light up) and my intermittent wiper does not function... althought the low and high still works.

Now I know these problems must be related. So I'm hoping maybe it's just a short somewhere or a faulty relay? But I don't know where these wires may all come into contact with each other. Any help would be appreciated.

I've also tried replacing the door switch for the heck of it but of course, no luck.

Please if anybody could help...

check all your fuses? maybe remove the kickpanel and visually check all the wires going into the interior fusebox located in the driver footwell...
