The H23A1 USDM was rated at 160hp @ 5800rpm with 156ft/lb torque @ 5300rpm. It had a 6500rpm redline. 9.8:1 compression ratio.

For your swap question... It might. Just as with the h22/accord swap, you may have to do the prelude mount thing. But it is as F23/H23 swap,....so...

Nope.... 160 @ 5800. And he's asking about the JDM H23 VTec.

The engine came in the 6th gen Accord body (Euro R trim) in Japan.

yes, it can be done, you would need to take all the usual steps as swapping an h22 into there, as they are basically the same motor...

adams, you dont get it...

its not an normal prelude h23, and its not a H22a. its basically an H23 with an F20B head on it....

and it makes better numbers then the H22a7

I guarantee an H22 manual tranny would bolt right up to that.

quick question with the money spent on gettin a h23 vtec wouldn't it be better to get a h22 then add some other power adder? assuming that the h23 vtec is rare and hard to come by = more money to get.

I read it on jdm engine depot also that it has 8000 rpm redline but people prefer the h22a engine instead for having more aftermarket mods. I'm trying to decide between the two also
