Brake/wheel noise? Wear indicator?
I've got a squeal that sounds like bad brakes from the front passenger side, but it will do it when I'm not on the brakes. I haven't gotten a chance to take it apart and look yet, but does anyone have any ideas? Does the brake wear indicator squeal constantly, or only when you're on the brakes? I know its not the brake dust shield because if it was, it would make the sound constantly. Sticking/dragging brakes? It doesn't pull to that direction when it makes the noise, so if it's dragging its EVER so lightly dragging. Would pads/rotors perhaps fix the problem? Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

yes they will squeal constantly ... it's a wear indicator. change your pads, and inspect the rotors. if it's been doing it a while , you may have some grooves.... rotors aren't very expensive .... brakes are part of "normal" maintenance
