Default 1995 Accord EX Sedan mods

Im getting a 95 Honda Accord this weekend and want to know what mods would be good to put on it to start off with? I hate ricer cars, I prefer it to be fast, not decorated, so Ill be wanting some good engine mods, tires, exhaust, etc. I know the basics about cars and engines, but Im no expert.

I have one too. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/523966 . I started with Altezza carbo fiber tailights, an AEM Cold air intake, then a strut bar, a deep sounding ehaust system, and for now.

Start saving up for the H22 is my best piece of advice.... You don't really gain much from the basic bolt-ons.

Don't waste your money on F22 bolt-ons, if you want to go fast. Just wait and get a H22.

If you want to make some real power the simplest thing to do is get a compression test done on your engine first to make sure it is healthy. The F22 has iron sleeves which are great for boost. So head on over to the Forced Induction forum after that and start reading. Click the image to open in full size.

If you don't have enough money for turbo to start out suspension and tires area also a great way to go. There's some good suspension info in the basic accord guide. I honestly wouldn't bother with bolt ons if you are serious. Oh, and please don't listen to anything hondabum4life said in that post because it is evident that he has no idea what he is talking about. Good luck, and you'll fit right in here if you prefer go over show. Click the image to open in full size.

Look man, your post did not apply to well to the topic since it is apparent that you do not know how to make power in this vehicle. For the K20 is a torqueless wonder and is not well suited to such a heavy vehicle. A K24 on the other hand could be pretty good but please don't post about things you don't know about.

...I like my accord with its F22B....
.....just a few things... and....
.....fine... car is not going faster than ferrari or lamborghinni.. but.... ....it has more power...
..so.... why spend 3 or 4k on a engine....
...then... you have to work even harder to start buying things to put more power into the H22.....
...btw.. if you are rich and have a lot of money... just forget what I just said...
.....lol...

I wanna see a K24 bottom end and a K20 Head in a accord that would be interesting. The f22 as someone mentioned above is good for boost. But if you want power save up for a motor swap.

hey h22 i would rather put a k24 than a h22 in my accord, do some searching you will find that a k24 has more potential than the h22 and if you put the top en.....no you know what i not going to tell you ****. you know this is just sugestions, i am not going to spell it out for him or you, unless provoked so GTFO ,,,,sorry to goat man people tend to get off the subject, do what you want and what you can. have fun and rember that cars are not an investment , they are to get us from A to B it just happens that i will get to B faster than H2290 and its got his pantys in a twist. Do some searching and you will find that not only the H22 is almost a direct bolt in to the 94-97 accord, you will also find that the K20A2 swap as far as anyone on these boards knows has never been done. In addition to that the K20A2 costs well over twice as much as the H22 and has less torque than the H22.
Engine Code Models Years Horsepower (SAE) Torque (ft-lbs)
K20A2 RSX Type S 01+ 200 142
H22 Prelude VTEC 92-96 200 161

So if you want to spend 5 grand+ and put the K20 in your accord go for it and hope it works since no one has come out for mount kits for it yet and knows if it is an effective swap into the 5th gen accord chaisses. Click the image to open in full size.

yeah the h22 will be an easy swap but the k24 is new tech and in the end it will be fat. when i do my swap i will post pics , and it will be soon. i know that not many have done it but that is why i want to do it .if money is the prob the go with the h22. dmurphy you are right it will cost grips of cash to do a k24 but you know you would do it if you could Click the image to open in full size.

but wouldnt it be cheaper and easier to swap the h22a in it then add some bolt on stuff to it, it cheaper and faster comparin to swap the k24 with about the same amount of money???

You sir... are a m0r0n Click the image to open in full size. The K24 swap has been done... how else would Hasport sell a kit for the swap??? New tech doesn't always equal better tech!!!! We all have a lot of learning to do with the K series, and much of that knowledge will only come with time. On the other hand... if you can do it to an engine... odds are it's been tried on the H22. There is an abundance of knowledge out there on the H22.... stuff you won't see with the K for a while.

Also, don't you think this is a little in depth for a guy with 1 post and a BASIC understanding of cars?!?!?

Best advice dude, sit on here and read up before doing anything. Click the image to open in full size.

H22 is played out too much imo. if we're talking the best bang for the buck thing here, this is how it goes:

h22 = ~1500+ about 1k more for all that **** that goes wrong and stuff u need, so that comes to amost 3k, cuz some ppl may not be able to get an h22 for less than 1.5k

turbo f22 = less than 2k if u know ur sources. its not that dificult to turbo once u know what ur doing(duh), lol. but u should figure out what YOU want, not what ppl tell u, then go from there.
if you decide to go the h22 route, then more power to ya, its a great engine, but played out too much nowadays.

if u decide to go turbo, then i suggest u start doing lots of reading and researching all over the net, all the info u need is out there, trust me.

but here r a few links that were helpful to me.

http://www.accordinglydone.com...=6472

http://www.turbobygarrett.com/....html

http://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/index.php

http://uberdata.pgmfi.org/forum/

those r just a few to get u started.

then there is the most complicated way to upgrade ur engine, go NA. it is possible to get almost 200whp from ur accord. just search around and you'll start finding things.

peace

SEARCH.... this whole forum is packed with the same advice.
Anyways... Depending on what you wanna do hear ya go....
if you wanna motor swap.... build an ls/vtec motor. It's a combo of the ls integras and the gsr integras. its a very powerful motor. I know a guy that is running twelves with that motor N/A! its amazing...
if you dont want to motor swap.... I/E chip, boost, and lower it.

umm, u need to search^^.

this forum is for the accords, and if u didnt know, which i can tell u dont know, ls/vtec does not swap into our engine bays. at least not without some MAJOR modifications, which is not worth it in the end since accords weigh so much compared to tegs and civics. no civic or teg engines have enough torque to make accords fast. the only engines that would be god for accords are any H series, any F series, and the k24, but that still costs a lot of money to do, but it'll get cheaper in a few years.

i dont mean to be a dick, but dont tell someone to search when you dont know what ur talking about.

you have been OWN3D!!!
