Default Y8 Tranny Swap

Ive found a D16Y8 tranny for sale close to where I live. It's got 120,000km's on it for only $150. Ive got two questions:

1. Would it be worth (money wise) the upgrade from my Hx transmission?
2. Would it even be much of an upgrade (quicker, not faster) from my current tranny?

I only ask because its from a Canadian EX and I was wondering if it would be the same tranny as the Si or not. I called my local honda dealership and the dude said he couldnt get any single part number for a tranny. Any and all info would be appreciated. Thanks H-T!

Your right, the Canadian Si and American Ex are the same. But we do have the Ex. this is where my predicament comes in. I dont want to end up buying it and its got close gear ratios as my Hx.

We're as affected by the prices as you southerners are. Actually I think we end up paying more than you guys do in the end.

I wanted to buy this tranny, but not necessarily put it on any time soon.
Would I run into any type of problems when swapping tranny's tho? Or is it a straight fit onto the Hx?
