Default Symptoms of a bad distributor?

If your distributor was going bad, what would the signs be? Symptoms? How would that affect the vehicle? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the quick replies so far.

Yeah, I actually did a search for "bad distributor", got one result for that. Went something like: distributor for sale $20 not a bad price. So I just went through the couple of hundred results under
"distributor" and "dizzy" (mostly for sale stuff).

Anyone else? Could it affect your idle too?
