I'd love to see an ACTUAL picture of a REAL relay connected to the wires. Also isn't there a better way to do this underneath the dash near the fuse box?

the best spot ive found to put it is to hide it somewhere in the carpet.(not gonna say where.. that would ruin the hiding spot) but somewhere you wont be able to see it without work.
then i ran a power wire to it through a series of switches, and if the switches are not in the right order, up down down up up, or whatever the combo is, then the fuel pump wont get power.

I found the same exact switch you had but it's only 16 amps. Would that be fine without a relay?

Back to the relay. Its quite simple. Use spade connectors just like on your switch. Run the fuel pump end of the wire to 30. Crimp the dash side of the fuel pump wire into the same spade connector as a short piece of 18 gauge wire and slip the spae connector on 87. Crimp another spade connector onto the end of that 18 gauge branch and slip that onto 85. Then run another piece of 18 gauge wire from 86 to one of the pins on the switch. Run the other pin on the switch to a ring terminal grounded on a factory bolt or self tapping screw into the bare metal of the chassis.
So would I be able to use a 10-16amp switch as long as I use this relay set-up?

WITH a relay, any switch is fine.

Without a relay, a 16 amp switch would overheat and fail.

however, you mention that i have to remove the rear seat to access the fuel pump. ive tried to remove the rear seat before in my civic, but i had no luck
does anyone know how to remove it?
thanks!

there is a 10mm bolt between the seating area and your back area in the middle.. its a little toward the driver side... gotta take that out first..

I just want to say ( sorry if i bring back an old thread) why dont you guys use aero latches and take out your coil to dizzy wire? Every car i've owned WILL NEVER run unless im around it. Be smart alarms these days dont do **** otherwise there would never be theft's. No fuel no spark no go, How many thieves do you think carry around a tool box to deal with **** like this. If they cant get in your car in under a minute they give up same goes for getting it started. Just my 2 cents,

efs dont have coil to dizzy wires for one. and this isnt for you to just add a switch and be rest free its all about layers. theives would scratch their heads in my car, get past the ecu kill, the fuel kill, the 2 way pager alarm(stealth installed) with starter kill, detatchable steering wheel, and 5%tint all the way around, then you can have the car lol becuz its never parked in a spot that im not within range of my alarm.

I would use this for hypermiling more than anything else i plan to install fuel pump & ignition kill switches right in those empty slots near the steering wheel

Does anyone have a write up for the lighted kill switch? (3 connections instead of 2)

Honestly if you feel that's letting everyone know what to look for, get an alarm. Theives never get around those. LOL</TD></TR></TABLE>

Back in 2001, my car was targeted by theives in Seaside Heights, NJ and the $300 alarm i had profesionaly installed was bypased. they got into the car, popped out the lock cylinder for the ign., & tried starting it with a screw driver. It started for 5 seconds (long enough to move it 2 feet out of the parking space), then died.

If i didn't use my switch, i would have been another H-T member posting up another "my crx got stolen" post.

Thats why i posted up what i did.....you just basicly fucked anyone who had a kill switch wired like that. Now when the CRX thats being stolen doesnt start, they'll just rip the cargo box up and look there!

BTW...any idiot can get around an alarm. It's not rocket science
car thieves learned bout ur furl injector cut off switch long before this guy wrote this but its always good to hear new idea's to lock ur car u use the boot and a pedal lock and a semi-automatic ;mao 91 si aint going no where ,,,i aidvise regular measure and a secondary precaution ,,i even seen people use tow trucks to slide off with cars hence the boot i use to stop tire moutation and all tow mounts removed ,,,
