Default temp gauge going up but radiator or car not over heating?

ok i jsut got my h22a eg on the road recently, and i put my new fan on it and uit turns on and works great, but my temp gauge goes up and my motor gets hot but not incredibly, im thinking it is either my thermostat housing sensor, or my thermostate isnt opening. Any suggestions would be great thanks!o yeah my bottom radiator house gets really hard also

So, the temp gauge says its overheating, but you dont think it is? I'm not sure I understand your question.

that and... does the bottom radiator hose get hot like 10-20 minutes after reaching normal operating temperature????

i'd first clean the both fan switch sensors and the temperature gauge sensors...

did you also bleed the cooling system properly?

yeah i did bleed it proporly, the fan is turning on but it jsut seems like the thermostat isnt opening, my friend told me just to get the temp. sensor right near the back of the radiator hose, he had the same problem so im gonna try that out.....and for the question is the bottom radiator hose getting hot 15-20 mintues after it is yes

clean both your ect switches (A (thermostat housing) and B - (upper rad hose exit housing) as suggested, altho you didn't mention if the fan is coming on or not. for the price of a new thermostat - you might as well replace that too. could also be that you've sheared the waterpump spline, and the waterpump ain't actually pumpin. chances are - you are overheating.

best of luck.

my car did the same thing when the thermostat was stuck shut. I got all the way to red in about 3 minutes.

Get a new one, they are cheap.

Sensor.......whats all this sensor talk? Take out the thermostat and drop it in some REALLY hot water. It should open. If not replace your faulty, pos, ready to screw you if your temp gauge dont work that night, thing.
everything should get better after that.
