@zccivicex: Red goes great with white wheels!
My old EJ2:
Sadly, she got totalled by some idiot BMW that smacked her in the face.
Afterwards I thought it was time to grow up and buy a more "mature" car. So I bought a Lexus IS.
I missed the simple fun the Coupe gave, so guess what. I now own a Coupe again. This time a black one:
Bought it almost bone stock (and ugly) a few months ago.
After adding some lips, BC-Racing coilover's, O.Z. rims (temporary), a Tanabe exhaust and some other small stuff it looks like this:

Just got her back. Fuel pressure regulator failed and a short circuit behind the dash. Now she's all done minus a new set of axles. My pride and joy! H22 Ej1

Re: where the ej1 love at? post pics
Anyway, this was my Lexus. 2000 Year IS200 manual. Found in Germany at a Lexus dealership, from a 93 year old first owner who only put 32.000 miles on it in 11 years.
It would have been a great base, but like I said, you don't find anything for these cars in europe. And after trying to ship some coilovers from the states 3 times (and every time getting the wrong shocks) I gave up. I would have loved to build something like this out of it:
Anyway... Back to EJ1's an EJ2's again!

Apart from that EJ1's are very rare in Europe. 99% of the coupe's over here are EJ2's. Like I said I wanted a DXI and they are also pretty rare.
For the USA people, the sales prgram of the 5th gen coupe in Europe consisted of 3 versions:
DXI (EJ2): D15B7 engine, 102 HP, Power steering and Centre locking doors were about the only luxury they came with
LSI (EJ2): D15B7 engine, 102 hp, on top of the DXI they had electric windows and mirrors and a sunroof
ESI (EJ1): D16Z6 engine, 125 hp, same luxury as the LSI, only extra feature on top of that was "luxury upholstery material".
Most common version is the LSI, followed by the DXI and the ESI is the least common.
We also only got 5 colors available: Milano Red, Granada black, Aztec green, Paradise blue-green and Camilla Red. Grey and white were not sold in europe, some markets (france and belgium I believe) did get dark blue however.

I have decide, yeah. I already bought an EJ2 again. Check the pictures of the black EJ2 with yellow licenseplate. That's the car I bought. Since I wanted a car without the sunroof I had to go with a DXI trim EJ2. I'm 2 meters tall (I believe you would call that 6 ft 7) and a car with a sunroof has a lower headliner.

Very nice base. I just put on my spoon lip today so I'll post a picture on here by tonight. I would love to see updates on your ej2 as I have one as well.
