it took me forever to sand them down! i only sanded 3 bcuz i started getting tired, so when i got to the last one, i just washed off the dirt then put like 4 coats of paint and it's still holding up lol
but when i did sand them, i used:
100 grit to get rid of all the very deep scratches and gashes
600 grit to get it smooth, then wetsand with the 600
then wetsand with 1000 grit
then i used Plastikote Car Color gunmetal spray paint...it says Car Color on the front of the can...i couldnt find any other gunmetal spray paint, so i used that...i'm guessing it's used for touch ups, but it works fine so far...i used maybe about 4 coats

you'd be surprised if you saw it in person...the doors look somewhat wavy and orangepeeled...but it's no biggie to me, at least it's better than before
here's what my front bumper used to look like before paint...it was like that when i got the car
just post up that thread, you know you want to!

Re: (l3oostedmax)
just finished installing my new lip last night...and a wash and wax after
the lip is a bit crooked, but its hardly noticeable...that damn 3m double sided tape is strong...i tried to re-position my lip, but it just pulled off some of my paint at the bottom of the lip ...and the lip is about a quarter of an inch long on the driver side where it wraps around the wheel well

sweet car man ...reminds me of my EJ when I first bought it.
Is that lip a knock off or is it the mugen or wings west one?
