I think that could be to small for his set0up, my friend is running itr bottom end gsr head and CTR cams, he using a 255 and it run's fine.

Re: what fuel pump for this ls vtec (ek9800)
the problem i have run into with running a 255 in my current set-up is that the fuel pressure is too high. Even with an adjustable regulator, I can only get my fuel pressure down to 48psi. my set-up needs about 40-42.
I still think 190 is quite enough for this set-up, i would possibly consider going a bit bigger on the injectors though... possibly a 380 CC

too small? I think you are mistaken dude....a 190 is plenty. I had a 190 when my car was boosted and it was fine. I put down 268whp with that pump.

wonder why people ask if they need a fuel pump when they do upgrades.. i just dont get it... if you get big cams your gonna need springs and retainers.... so then its like "duh" just get the damn fuel pump. 190+ should be more than plenty.

I use this one for my set-up...basically same as yours except I'm running CTR pistons and S2S3's. A 255l/h pump will usually increase your fuel pressure by 10 psi, which can make the world of difference from running shitty to running good. The thing you should worry most about is tuning...but have fun either way!

I got a Walbro 255lph fuel pump, going to run RC440's and a stock rail from a B20Z with a AEM FPR...we'll see what happens, my **** is reasonably built in my opinion it could be better though.

Re: what fuel pump for this ls vtec (DavidT or VajT)
I don't understand, why would it increase pressure? I don't understand the whole fuel system. I am currently running a b16 with bolt ons. I am running a stock p28, and a stock ex fuel pump. I want to upgrade, because when on a low tank, my car runs like ****. I can't decide between a 190 or 255. I want to keep stuff stock, and I thought about getting a 95 DelSol DOHC VTEC fuel pump, but the walbro is easier to get.
Sorry about thread hi-jack, but I don't understand fuel setups, and I plan to do a GSR/B16 head build up. So I'm planning for the future too.

Re: what fuel pump for this ls vtec (Redcoupe)
You shouldn't really run any car under a 1/2 tank of gas it can and does burn out fuel pumps when done for long periods of time. The gasoline or fuel actually lubricates the internals of the pump. You may have misaligned the fuel pump pickup if you installed that pump. The filter sock where the fuel is picked up and sent to the pump and sending unit to the engine needs to be in the stock location down in the baffles.

Re: what fuel pump for this ls vtec (CRVTEC0WNZJ00)
fora stock b16, just use a GSR or ITR fuel pump... if you along the line do a crazy all motor build up, address it at that time. Right now, dont't waste your money on a 190, its overkill
