So there are some OBD-2 error code lists that actually use that name for the CKF sensor.

I'm not sure about D-series engines, but on B- & F-series that sensor is near the crankshaft pulley. It's a magnetic sensor that reads teeth on another sprocket behind the timing-belt drive sprocket.

So the wires come up along the backside of the timing cover. Look for something unplugged? Or broken wires? You can always replace the sensor, but first I like to rule out stuff like loose wiring.
