Default Sway Bar Selection Help..

right now i have a 98 civic ex with

Tein SS coilovers
Omnipower Lower Control Arms
Skunk 2 Lower Tie Bar

and want to ad a sway bar i read a lot of stuff about people ripping out the whole bottom of the car, which obviously i do not want to do.. a friend of mine recomended the suspension techniques bar so what would i need to run something like that... would i need the beaks kit?

also all the people i read about ripping them out were using different oem honda bars (like the itr) does that have anything to do with it?

thanks in advance

anything above 19mm i would think you need subframe reinforcement... other than that, you're cool. beaks isn't a favorite here... comptech / a-spec racing has some pretty good stuff if you want a thicker bar along with some reinforcement.

so the beaks is pretty useless...? thats what i saw on another forum.. it looks like the suspension tech bar is right around 19... with that being the case what would you say... and wel beyond that without giving up my lower tie bar and havign to rebuy one what would you suggest for a sway bar that would work with what i have.. thanks for the help..

i think 19mm would be fine. anything over that is a little too much. as for the tie bar... i'm not to sure if you can use one with a aftermarket sway... somebody here can help you.

im thinking that a spec racing plate and a 19-20 mm bar... have you ever heard of anyone breaking the subframe witht hat a spec racing plate? do you think that would be very reliable?

if you're going above 19mm get the aspec or comptech rear sway/tie combo (no reports of torn subframes yet amongst those. beaks is weaksauce). i was going to slap on an integra-R rear sway on my del sol but then i would have to change my shocks, control arms... too much drama. just go 19mm it'll make your life easier.

dude... relax. your **** is not going to fall apart if you do not go over 19mm. read~! no tie brace until you go over 19mm. if you want to go over that, invest in the comptech or a-spec racing sway/tie combo.
