1st run of the day I fried 4 spark plugs and dropped a head gasket. Not sure what other carnage may be found when I pull the head. Hopefully a new head gasket and plugs are all I need.

I can't figure out why this happened. Air fuel was at 12:1 all through the run. It is the same setup as last year when I didn't have any detonation so it doesn't make a lot of sense. Maybe bad gas.

To top it all off my alarm decided to act up and arm itselt. I did even have the alarm fob on me. So it went off as I was being towed back to the pits. All in all a terrible night.

I'm going to get drunk now...

My M90 came in today, it's in pretty good shape:

Here's how it'll go on the motor, I can make the mounting bracket out of two overlapping .5" aluminum plates, which will give it some 3 dimensional support:

I don't know any way to interpret a 60 shot as anything other than nitrous.
349 WITHOUT nitrous

434 WITH nitrous

and 262 hp and 202 tq with a 50 shot

I havnt got back to the dyno for with my new exhaust set up, no cat ,header collector is now 2.5" all the way out to the new greddy tic exhaust...

and im on all stock internals at 130k on the motor and at 5k elevation and still runnin like a champ but this winter I wanna build and boost it to the max with a lht setup

you made exactly 50 more hp and 50 more tq with a 50 shot?

so much for the 'chemical intercooler effect'.

The blower came from a Thunderbird Supercoupe. A lot of GM 3.8L motors also had an M90, but the GM version had a proprietary case with a relatively complicated flange that would be very difficult to mount and make manifolds for. I will probably end up with a custom M90 case so I can run 18 PSI, but it will have the same three mounting points as the T-bird blower case and the guy that makes the custom cases has said that he would hook me up with some flanges for it, so making manifolds should be simple. Honestly I don't think that it will take a lot of work to make it work on a K, and when I visit the guy in Oregon that makes the custom cases later this month, I'll ask him about making a case that would let you reverse the rotor pack so you could use a modified M90 on a B-series. I think he charges about $650 for the custom case and used M90's in good shape sell for $200 or less on ebay all the time (I've bought two of them), so for less than $1000 you could have a blower that supports over 500 WHP and 18 PSI.

That would be insane torque

Then again, that's insane power

True, but a 60 shot of nitrous can make way more torque then hp if set at low rpm.

On the other hand the numbers seem suspect.

Would it be possible to use the M62 blower on a B18B?
Also:
Came back from the drag strip
E.T. : 14.933
MPH : 97.75

Next step intercooler and have this thing properly tuned!

thanks rmcdaniels. let me know what he say about getting that mani setup on a b series. it would be a tight fit back there though... oh well 18 psi sounds nice to me!

and as for a 50 shot only giving me 50 more the nozel is right behind the filter no right in front of the throttle body kinda to let the nitrous not be SO cold as it hit the rotors so in sense most na cars with the nozel there would of only gained 25 30 hp...

nx wet shot it runs to rich hince the jrsc fmu set up. i havent really messed around with the tuning of the nitrous yet so it was a spur of the moment kinda thing to go to the dyno.

i need to put the kit back in and play with it some more
