What is the best way to bolt an ex-c face back into the barrel? Its super tight and not about to take a hammer to it...Should I just put al the bolts back in and slowly tighten in a cross pattern?

I need help with this also. Getting my spinner mesh refinished and was wondering how I'm supposed to bolt the face back to the barrel.

Is the tire still mounted to the wheel?

There is no tire...I ended up sticking the face in the freezer for a couple of hours. I was able to get it bolted down but 3-4 of the tabs on the barrel got bent and are not sitting right. I think I may take it apart again and grind/machine off some material on each tab. I know its supposed to be tight but its to the point its bending the tabs.

I put the faces in a deep/chest freezer, and leave the barrels in the sun. You should be able to push the faces into the barrel, not using the bolts to tighten it down at all (and putting unnecessary strain on everything). Once it all warms up to the same temp, the face will be properly stuck in place again, without the bolts.
Please try again before grinding those tabs down.. I really don't think it is necessary.

RDS,

Thanks! Im gonna try to get the face off and re-try it. I'm basically doing a face swap so the face isnt the one that was in there originally. Could be why its so tight...??

Loving the dark red on the Type-C's above. Going to do the full decal set, or just stick with those? Does get a bit busy with them all, but i've always liked it for completeness-sake..

Ignoring the lack of fasteners (lol), they look great...! very clean.
You should be able to polish up the acrylic centre rings to a shine easily. Would finish them off nicely.

haha.. damn kids eh.
Worst case you'd be able to buy the whole valve+cap from SSR, for likely very little money. The valve seals may need replacing by now anyway!

Edit. Random recent SSR joy...

Had these out together - The ~1987 15" assortment.

Two types of 4x100 Mesh cap. Late 60mm chrome, and regular 65mm black...

World of 4x100 Reverse Mesh..

SSR Reynad race wheel, 13x14.7 -61? The oversquare goodness...

Yeah, thank the previous owner on that one. I keep telling myself I'm going to fix it but replacing fenders isn't hi-pri for me right now. Your're the first person to ever call me out on them lol

Will be installing the fasteners shortly. I'd hate to install them like that . Any idea on torque specs? Also what would you recommend to polish the acrylic centre rings?

Trying out the new SSR GTV02 in flat black. On my Integra 16x7 +42

Been thinking of selling the spoon calipers and switching to a TL type S brembo Package on the Integra. I also own a 04 TL 6 speed (same brakes, knuckes, axles, trans as a type s). They clear with a 10 mm spacer but I was more worried about the radial clearance of the caliper to the wheel. Its a clear which is GREAT, and I also run a 15mm spacer on my integra which is even better. Looks like I'll be switching soon to the brembos soon.

Nice GTV02's!

I've been considering the GTV01 for my integra.

Anyone rocking a set of these yet?

Be sure to post a pic once you get tires on those!!!

Yep.
Were too original, neat, and complete not to. Should scrub up nicely.

Torque specs are written a million times in this thread.. and varies - but you should be pretty right at 25lb/ft.
As for the polish; the material is soft, so it is simple and quick even with a very fine polish on a cloth. Just give it a go, you'll be surprised.

I'm fairly new to this forum, so hopefully this is the right place to put these.

Not the rarest rims, but farely rare in this sizing:

SSR EX-C Fins
17x7 +38, 4x114
Complete with everything except magnetic keys (if anyone has key#335 please let me know!)

This is the same exact set that kokuryu had for sale about a year ago.
