Default Torque specs on 1.6 VTec head.

Does anyone know what the torque specs are when replacing a head gasket on a '94 EX?

tighten them in the sequence in the haynes or helms manual to about 23 lbs. then go back throught the same sequence and tighten them to 54 lbs.

if you do this and when you break a headbolt, or when you warp the head, you are gonna wish you hadnt listened to this guy

Indeed, stick to specs, don't overtighten the bolts because it won't leak if you tighten them to spec.
