how many people are turbo'd with over 100k miles on stock d series?
i have been kicking the idea of picking up a turbo kit for my car and the only thing that stops me is the mileage. 102k on a stock d16z6.
i'm willing ot do a headgasket and aftermarket headbolts but not much more. bottom end and head will remain stock.
are a lot of you guys turbo's with over 100k miles? i log a lot of driving too. can be up to 120 miles a day...

i had a z6 with turbo pusing almost 190k on the clock. I did rebuild the head and used a block gaurd, but it ran good. (low boost 7-8psi)
go for it.
go for it.

My four door was turboed from about 100,000 to 120,000 before it was stolen. I didn't have any problems with it at all.

And this was my worst case scenario too.

Mine was a DOHC, but I turboed mine at 115K miles. As long as the condition of your motor is fine (compression, etc), it doesn't matter if you have 150K miles or 50K miles.
Too bad I apparently ran out of oil and spun a rod bearing at 120mph about a month later though.

go for it dude, im at 96k...bought in aug w/ 91k... so i feel ur pain with the miles adding up..only not as bad as you. Ill be doin a whole z6 swap for my b7 then boosting it instead of the mini-me (which i was going to do, but i felt it would be better to have a motor in the car while i build another). and yea..all u need is a low 6-7psi to give u that little "umph" u need to make it a more enjoyable ride
