Yep, that's a '94 Camry V6 you see there. It was really interesting to be working on such a car, and to see the faces of local car guys

Bottom-line though, it was all from the fact that I couldn't afford a Supra

For the best cost while still keeping something that isnt cheaply made. I decided on some AMP CPC(Circular Plastic Connectors). They work great.

Here are the connector. They also didnt sell at 63 pins when I ordered them. Which would have came in handy. But for the price you cant beat them. Way better then the price for a Mil-Spec bulkhead connector.

I went with the Series 1 Connectors. If you plan on running some power wires to like your Alternator or Starter and want to run a bulkhead. They have Connectors that will take bigger gauge wire like 10-12 GA if you wanted.

http://www.alliedelec.com/cata...m=106

Here is the contacts for these connectors. Choose them depending on your wire size that you will be running.

http://www.alliedelec.com/cata...m=109

I would also suggest getting the Extraction Tool. Trust me you wont get them out any other way. For insertion you can just push them in until they click. You might also want to check out the Right-Angle Cable Clamps and Straight Cable Clamps on this page too.

http://www.alliedelec.com/cata...m=110

All in all for the price im very happy with these bulkhead connectors. They work great and are very durable and the price cant be beat. The best thing about Allied Electronics is that you dont have a minium buy order like Digi-Key.

If you want any other info on these connectors or anything feel free to PM me with questions.

Sal</TD></TR></TABLE>

I use all of these connectors at work. I would also recommend a set of pin crimpers if you don't have them. A regular set of crimpers/needlenose pliers will take you FOREVER, and won't crimp as clean as a nice set of pin crimpers will.

Where would you buy those? Also, are they universal to all pins or are they specific to certain pins? Sorry, I'm just now starting to get into the wiring and things like that so I'm learning. Thanks

The crimpers are specific to those type of connectors. Only problem is they are a decent amount of money. Im cheap so I just used some regular crimpers. It is very time consuming but it does get the job done.

ok, thanks. So I'm guessing that the sites that sell the connectors and pins also sells the crimpers?

yup... I believe my company buys them from McMaster Carr or Grainger, or maybe directly from AMP... But they look kinda like this (NOT EXACTLY.. these are for a slightly different style pin), and they are anywhere from $35-$60 but make life SOOO easy.

I think I remember reading a post where if you buy a brand new tranny from Honda, you don't get a VIN tag with it. VIN tags only come with trannies that were installed in a car.

I'll try to find the thread where I read this. I did a quick search, but found nothing.

Looks similar to what Geoffrey Ring (EFI University instructor) did on a harness he showed us. He had yellow labels with clear shrink wrap over them to label all the wires.

call them up... ask for clint... he'll have pretty much anything ull need... and if he doesnt... he can get within a day or 2

im pretty **** about wiring... here's a couple more small things... its takes a lil longer to do then the generic hack job... but it looks much cleaner, u never have to worry about the connection, and everything i make at least is quick disconnect in some way or another... ill never hard-wire something so as u would have to cut it to remove it
