Default car sounds like it has a flat/dragging but tires are fine

i tried searching but serach it out right now says "please try again later"


when driving home i got off the freeway i had my windows open and noticed the car sounded like it had a flat so i get home and i look at all the tires and nothing is flat what could this noise be?

body parts or something might be dragging, check your wheel well covers

Wheel bearings. They are probally going bad. Make sure the 32mm axle bolt is tight as well (the gold one you see when the little lug-nut cover is off. assuming you have 90+ Si wheels).

Could also be an impact break. Inspect your tires for a "bubble." That is an impact break and can cause the noise along with making the car pull to one side depending on bad it is.

sigh i was hoping its not wheel bearings :/ i changed my lug stud at work and just pounded it out/used a impact gun on it that prolly fucked the wheel bearing up


i dont know i hope its the tires cuase it just happen all of a sudden as soon as i got off the freeway about a mile or two away from my house i could here it, wheel bearings are a bitch :/ good thing i work at a delaership we should have a press to press it out and such but iono if we have all the tools cuase its a Gm dealership

alright just drove it when i was next to a barrier u could here this silght kidna sounds like a nail in the tire but real loud, no flat sound yet, then decided to drive it around more and then all of a sudden bam the LOUD dragging sound comes on, so i drive real slow its still real loud , i come to a turn i pull a uturn to go to my house and the noise dissapers :/ is this the sign of a wheel bearing? or something else?, jeez i wish search was back !~!!!!!

jack up the car, when the wheels no longer touch make sure the parking brake is off and wiggle the wheels back/forth then up/down. if it has play in any wheel, then your bearing is dying.

what would be the cause of the flat tire/dragging noise to go away? its wierd cuase when i drove it earlier it just started making the loud noise again then when i pulled a uturn to go back to my house it went away :/
