Re: Turbo J32A2 S2000 Build Thread
Made some progress. I will have lots of updates coming as I plan to have the car running by this Thursday.
ABS deleted and new brake lines
ARP headstuds and new headgaskets
Machined cam gear to have only one home tooth
Almost ready to go back in
Notched and boxed in subframe for oil filter and downpipe locations
Mounts back from powdercoat and reassembled
Installed with heat shield
Back in its home for the final time

Loving the brake lines. I like the look of solid line over the braided stuff all day. One quick question : What's the purpose of machining off the "teeth" from the back side of the pulley? I'm sure it has to do with the EMS you are using, I just don't fully understand the reasoning.

Love this build. I'v been following it since the beginning. It has inspired me to do a RWD project with the "J" motor. I picked up a J35A3 from a 2002 MDX about 9 months ago and put it on the shelf till i could get to it. Originally i was thinking of putting it into a E30 BMW but now i have a super nice Datsun 240Z shell on the shelf as well. This is the new plan. It should fit much like it dose in the s2000 as the whole engine can fit behind the front rack and pinion / cross member. Almost a mid engine if you consider the engine completely behind the front wheels. Such a grate motor, need more RWD builds with the "J"

My hands still hurt from doing push-lok two days ago. I think I'll stick to the ss braided from now on.
Progress is looking good man, keep at it!

Re: Turbo J32A2 S2000 Build Thread
This build is epic. Not just because it is a J series in a S2000 RWD but because of all the fine details. Little things like heat shields for the motor mounts, the brake lines and fuel lines and all the other things that truly convert the J into a RWD setup. Super clean build going on here, I will not be surprised to see this car as a Honda Tuning cover in the future.

Was never a fan of the S2000 until today, this is gonna be one gnarly ride when finished, cant wait to see a video or 2 of this thing laying the tire to the ground.
