Loving the brake lines. I like the look of solid line over the braided stuff all day. One quick question : What's the purpose of machining off the "teeth" from the back side of the pulley? I'm sure it has to do with the EMS you are using, I just don't fully understand the reasoning.

Yes. The original cam was basically a 6-2 wheel. I am running a haltech ps2000 and the easiest (imo) was to keep the 12 teeth on the crank and switch the cam to one tooth as a home (or sync). This is a common configuration for running direct fire ignition and sequential injection.

Love this build. I'v been following it since the beginning. It has inspired me to do a RWD project with the "J" motor. I picked up a J35A3 from a 2002 MDX about 9 months ago and put it on the shelf till i could get to it. Originally i was thinking of putting it into a E30 BMW but now i have a super nice Datsun 240Z shell on the shelf as well. This is the new plan. It should fit much like it dose in the s2000 as the whole engine can fit behind the front rack and pinion / cross member. Almost a mid engine if you consider the engine completely behind the front wheels. Such a grate motor, need more RWD builds with the "J"

My hands still hurt from doing push-lok two days ago. I think I'll stick to the ss braided from now on.

Progress is looking good man, keep at it!

This build is epic. Not just because it is a J series in a S2000 RWD but because of all the fine details. Little things like heat shields for the motor mounts, the brake lines and fuel lines and all the other things that truly convert the J into a RWD setup. Super clean build going on here, I will not be surprised to see this car as a Honda Tuning cover in the future.

This is mega awesome! Glad to see someone make their own plate. How much did that run you? Material cost. I think I can manage the machining.

Material for the plate is only $200. I probably have 40+ hours into designing and cutting it :p

Yeah, the $200 plate was my question mainly. As long as the motors rotate the same way, and you have the plate, they work together? Does the plate effect the clutch at all? It has to move further to activate, right?
