The bail doubling was probably unjust - he couldve just stuck a her with a "detainer" but you do not flip off and say **** you to a court official, specifically a judge lol - dude seemed pretty cool, too.

He made an example out of a pill distributing (didnt retain exact charge) young lady who thought it was all a joke. Could all be seen as excessive but I'll bet she never so much as scowls at a leo again

Did you not see her body language or hear anything she said? He asked her a direct question multiple times - "how much is the jewelry" worth. Even a numbskull would be able to round up to 100/1000/10000

Eh, assuming that she is an imbecile, I thought it was arbitrary that the judge raised her bail for saying adios.

she was laughing at him and not taking **** serious. He gave her something to go think about next time she wants to act like a bitch with the person judging her. Next time im sure when shes standing before a judge she'll stay quiet, hands in front of her, standing up straight and saying sir,ma'am. Ive been acquitted of almost every single ticket ive gotten. I bet if i started joking around, i'd pay every single one of them.

I do think him doubling her bond because she said adios was a bit harsh, but to be honest it probably had as much to do with her constant giggling and making light of the situation as her saying adios and walking away like that. This is one of those situations where showing a little respect goes a long way. Unfortunately, thats not something that we Americans are good at these days. Every Joe Shmoe on the street thinks that theyre so important that everyone should respect them immediately, but if people want their respect then you have to earn it, even if theyre obviously in a position where that isnt the case.

The punishment for saying **** you and flipping him off was more than fair though IMO.

well, I know that this one instance will not put the county in dire straights, but if that same mentality is projected across all of the different departments of the county, and is implemented consistently, then it creates a real problem.

The judge ordered her to take it seriously and stop giggling. She did not. She continued to think a court date was something funny she'd get to discuss on FB later. But she won't even be able to do that for 30 days and now it won't be a laughing matter....

It'll be, "the ******* judge double my bond and gave me 30 days for contempt."

wasnt a fine. hes the bail judge. he basically increased her bail by 500 bucks. had she kept her mouth shut after the adios comment she could have been bailed out with $1000 bail. surely he can afford that with her rick ross jewelry.
