Yeah 2002 was the first year. I still worked at the dealer back then so I can vouch for that first hand. Accords/Preludes got them first and then the rest got them as the new gens rolled out... Civics '01, CR-Vs '02, etc.
They were new technology at the time, and no matter how many times you told them, people thought the red key was just a spare for when they couldn't find the others

Nice. I have never actually run into any problems with one. I got a jumper harness for any that need it I'll just use the OBD2A ECU.
Added some pics to keep it entertaining.

Kinda tough to get a good pic in my garage, the sun shines right in for most of the day, but big improvement over the old:
I also finally got a new bezel, the left vent has been broken since I bought the car seven years ago:
Night (not as offensively bright as it looks):
Bluetooth/phone works great, nice to finally have iPod integration so I can leave my 160gB classic tucked away. I really like that the colors are totally customizable too... It's always been a beef of mine trying to find a deck that actually matches the dash lights.

Man I've been thinking about moving on too. I just don't feel like I want something too nice since I put so many miles in commuting (~1800/month). Also really enjoy the car payment free life

B20- Car looks good. Minamalistic bay and exterior is nice. Almost sleeper status.
Spadam- Nice deck, i pod hook ups and blue tooth sure is cool. My 89 Si Hatch has a bluetooth deck so i can talk on the phone while driving.
Mad- Nice build. S2k seats sure are comfortable and supportive.

Thanks Bentley, I'm tryin to stick to the OEM freshness
Lowalk nice
Mad I'm digging your mcdonalds drive threw action.
I'm currently sitting on the side of the road. Pretty sure my alternator isn't charging. Can't wait to ruin another pair of jeans fixing it.
