OBD II d15b non-vtec sensor question.

OBD II d15b non-vtec sensor question.
On the OBD II d15b non-vtec there are two sensors located directly below the heater core inlet hose. Both of the sensors are in the block. The single wire sensor is the temp sending unit for the gauge cluster? What is the other sensor? It is a two wire sensor. It is adjacent to the temp sending unit. It is not the thermoswitch for the fan as that is located on the thermostat housing.
The OBD II d15b non-vtec is going in a 1991 civic hatch with a rywire OBD0 -> OBD I jumper harness. The ECU is a p06. Does the engine that I am putting in the car have any sensors that do not need to be plugged in? This is what I was thinking as far as sensor that do not need to be plugged in.
Sensor: knock sensor
Location: back of block
Status: not needed
Sensor: unknown two wire sensor
Location: adjacent to cluster temp sending unit
Status: not needed
If you have any information on problems I will encounter while putting this motor in the car please let me know as I am relatively new to motor swaps.
Thank you,

Re: OBD II d15b non-vtec sensor question.
The 2 wire sensor next to the cluster temp sending unit is VERY NEEDED. I did a quick search for you.
The 2 wire one is the ECT sensor for the ECU and the single wire one is the temp sending unit for the dash. They are not the A or B fan switches. You will have a hard time running your engine without the ECT sensor and your dash temp gauge will not work without the other.
I know from experience, honda uses the same 2 wire plug for almost everything. Make sure you haven't swapped plugs on accident.

Re: OBD II d15b non-vtec sensor question.
I saw the sending unit and couldn't figure out what that one was called. It's weird the OP doesn't have the ECT plug just dangling there. Trying to figure out where he has that plugged in at.
Have you tried to start the motor at all?

Re: OBD II d15b non-vtec sensor question.
Hi I've been lookin around online for a whole tryna figure this out I have the yellow/green wire just dangling around near my dizzy it doesn't have a plug on it at all just a single wire all alone I'm sure its always been like this I just taped over the end so it wasn't showing bare wire and everything was fine but now my temp gauge isn't going up at all and my fan won't kick in at all either speedo is also not working but the plug for vss is loose so i don't think its related, vtec won't engage either, ps I swapped a b16a into my ej9 not sure if this will make a difference but its got the same single yellow/green wire just dangling there without a plug on the end and I have no idea how to connect it.......
