how much of a difference is there on airing down m&h 235/60-15 dots?
I just got a set of 235/60-15 m&h dots for my turbo crx. I haven't taken it to the track ever and was just wanting to know how much of a difference is there with a good burnout and airing down the tires? I have them set on ~23psi for the street and the spin 2nd from a roll at 430whp. I've heard they can hook that much power in 1st at the track so does the low tire pressure (8-12psi) and burnout really do that much?

I ran them at 15ps around 600whp and it would still haze the tires in 5th on the street tire pressure didn't seem to make much of a difference, I would definitely do a burn out on them

thanks. I aired them down to 12psi and they are way better. I imagine at the track with 9psi and a good burnout they would do pretty good with full boost (430whp) in all gears.

i noticed a huge difference airing them down on the street. i run them around 12 - 15 psi on the street. mind you dont go around any corners faster then like 20mph lol. i have my car raked forward a tad and my rear suspension are 16ks on stiff. so the car doesnt squat. that may help. i hook over 500 in third and over 600 in 4th on a gsr gearset.
heres a vid. probably 700whp in 4th. car made 639 on 27 psi and that run was well over 30 psi.

thanks guys. I have them at 12psi cold now and they do pretty well. With 434whp they are good in 3rd on and just spin a little bit at the top of 2nd. I have noticed though if I do and nice pull and slow down the next time they will grip way better. I did 3 pulls in a row and when I slowed down I could hear rocks and everything sticking to the tire.

I have run them around 8-8.5 psi at the track. Yielded our best 60's. No lower than 12 on the street. Seems to do pretty well.
