CRX HF Replacement
So, Friday the 13th of June a guy named Hazard decided to park his Subaru in my spare tire well.
A better pic of the damage he directly caused.
After his shitty insurance gave me the run around for two months and low balled on the value the car, i was just ready to b e done. So I took the settlement hobbled off with my injuries, and began my search for a replacement.
I found it a few weeks ago and August 21st I became a new owner of my 7th Honda. This was what it looked like before I even bought it.
I had a rough last few months. Things are starting to look up.

Re: CRX HF Replacement
Man...you got extremely lucky with that find. I guess I'm kinda bias though.
Lovin' the mudflaps! Does the front driver seat have the typical wear?

Re: CRX HF Replacement
Removed the mudguards, aftermarket cruise control, and a whole mess of wiring today. Also put in new high beams and adjusted the front wipers down. Replaced the chipped taillight the day after purchase.
The seats appear to be in great shape, though the driver left bolster has a hole less than the size of a pencil eraser. I'll take pics of the inside later.
I'll also be replacing some of the wiring with wiring from my parts car, such as the door harnesses, which appear to be missing! All they had was home speaker wire going into them. Lol
A lot of this is the aftermarket cruise btw.

NOFX- Car looks like a good replacement. 88si is the lightest of them all. Great find. Whats the mileage and future plans?

Re: CRX HF Replacement
The '88 HF had 160k when I got it. The '88 Si had 179k when I got it.
Planning to swap my Y8 out of the HF and into the Si and throw the KYB GR2s and H&Rs on.

Re: CRX HF Replacement
I would love power windows (even with a tiny CRX my arms are still short). I'm not sure that the hatch ones will work though. Maybe Deetz knows.

The power door lock option offered for both ef hatches and Crx are the same. The use the same regulators, motors and switches.
I also have a pair of Crx power window regulators if need (though it would take some time to find them)

Re: CRX HF Replacement
Thanks. The mudguards were easy to get rid of. I didn't even have to list them.
I've been pretty lucky with not needing to replace too much on either of my CRXes. Worst thing was the transmission grenaded randomly on the HF when I was on the east coast on a trip.

Re: CRX HF Replacement
Just recently did some maintenance to the car. Can't wait for good weather so I can bring my Civic back out.
Oh. And hi Ryan.
