91 Civic Keeps Running Without Key
Hey guys, I am new to this site and have a problem with my car. I have a 91 Civic DX that I swapped a D16Z6 into. Everything seems to be fine other than the fact that when I go to turn off my car the engine is still running. At this point the key is out and the engine is running and there is power to my dash but not my radio.
1)Alternator backfeeding
2)Ignition Switch
3)The actuator for the ignition switch in the steering column
Any help would be appreciated

Re: 91 Civic Keeps Running Without Key
It's electrical ,pull out one fuse @ a time with the key in the off position. If it turns off when u pull out a particular fuse then the problem is where the fuse indicates. ..usually caused by a short in some wires just replace what ever the fuse indicates or check the wiring to that specific part..this happened to me and the car successfully turned off when I pulled the hazards fuse..all I had to do was remove the emergency light switch and I saw a bridged wire loose and causing a short so I removed the wire and bought a new hazard light button ....now my car turns off and on like it's supposed to
