I'm originally from the US side and Ashtabula Ohio, we used to visit over there sometimes in the boat, no one cared back then, no passports needed etc, used to talk to a lot of people from Canada back when running CB radios with linear amps was common, no internetz yet haha, lots of Canadian transplants where I grew up
