Only Honda fan boys concern themselves with HP per liter etc. HP is HP and its easier to get with more displacement....period.

b20b 126hp 133tq
jdm b18c-R 197hp 134tq

you were saying about displacement no replacement?

Honda fanboys know that displacement is not the only factor..
domestic fanboys try to make up with displacement for shitty design and old outdated beliefs.

Those motors are "fully built" though...

Who cares about stock? Most everyone mods their engine anyway

Are you seriously bringing up F1 technology and trying to compare what they do to 10+ year old economy honda engines built within the limits of environmental regulations?

Wow.

This section just continues to go downhill.

Oh chill, don't get your panties in a wad lol. The point is that RPM is the "replacement for displacement." That law is universal.

Comparisons of "which is better" traditionally turn into BS and cheesy arguments. This many posts in a subjective, useless topic saddens me.

I purchased the SAE paper for F20C engine development and Honda compares the H22A to it due to "bore diameter and cylinder pitch" An interesting read, If anyone wants a copy, PM me.

HP=(TQxRPM/5252)

Isn't that the rule of thumb? You just increase the RPM and the same motor will make more HP (in theory, there are limits). Torque is definitely where it is at. That is the number everyone should be concerned with, not peak HP.

I agree with Freemananana to an extent, if you will be spending most of your time in low-mid rev range, then torque should be your greatest concern. But if your concern is all-out speed, and getting to that high speed very quickly, then Horsepower is where it's at for sure. TQxRPM, it's two sides of the same coin, raise either one and horsepower will increase

Runnerdown, thank you for providing even more proof that the F is comparable to the H. I will most certainly PM you

aaaaaaand again the torque vs hp lol

same people that are obsessed with displacement are also obsessed with torque

if you just understand that both are important there would be no arguments.

if one wasn't important then it would not be used to show engine output.
