the bushings were seized in two ways. one, the threads were seized to the welded nut and two, the bolt was seized to the bushing metal sleeve. first, oxy-acetylene the nut red hot (after about a week of soaking in PB blaster nightly and 750lb-ft 3/4 inch impact) and break loose with a long breaker bar. this gets the threads loose so now you can twist the bolt about 1/8 turn as the rubber bushing and sleeve move with it. Now get the air chisel out and with one hand on the breaker bar putting loosening torsion on the bolt, hit the sleeve of the bushing with the air chisel. Soak with PB blaster and repeat. Eventually the air chisel will cause the rust to break loose so you can turn the bolt a little at a time. Eventually it comes out. People please, anyone in the rust belt areas, use anti-seize on everything liberally; ESPECIALLY bushing bolts. If you ever have a bolt out, apply anti-seize before putting back.

then of course the old hacksaw and chisel technique to remove the old, and my little press to get the new ones in.

Hey Guys! I took the car out for a road trip last weekend. Clocked 330 miles and one speeding ticket. I had a lot of fun driving on highway 2 through the passes, in vtec part of the way haha. when I got home comfort upgrades where installed that Im not posting here but money well spent.

In other news I think it is time for a input shaft bearing but Im hoping it will hold out till I can save for k/5lug. the lug swap is the next thing on my list. lets pray I find a RSX-S part out asap.

Replaced my thermostat to fix an over heating issue replaced with OEM fluids and gasket. I also did a compression check to take a look at the HG and found my plugs were shot so I picked up a set from honda for the price of $19.55 a piece :0
but with that out of the way my car runs WAY better. (performance and economy)
results of the test
1 - 180
2 - 180
3 - 178
4 - 188
Last but not least I got my clutch!!! not to put it in >.<

Cars looking good, like your progress. Been wanting to do a wood cut out for my trunk but I've been lazy. Thinking about buying some cheap wood and just put some wood vinyl over it, lol!

Cheers,
Dan.

Thank you! how you mentioned would be the easiest way to do it. The only problem with that I can think of is; the opening of the trunk is small and it needs to be assembled inside of the car. getting the wood inside the car was the most difficult part of this.

Thanks slow the racelands are really noisy. I have had a few different brands of coils in my honda days and over all they are the worst I have used. the ride quality is good but everything else sucks. Im hoping to get new coils with in the year. Hopefully buddy clubs

Nice build so far! Do you mind sharing what your fender to ground is and wheel / tire size? Think that's a perfect drop and I like how it sits; might want to raise mine up a bit. Looks great!
