Thrust Washer. Pretty high on the importance list as far as internal parts go. Crank is going to walk with out it.

Thrust washer, it goes against the wall of journal number 4 if you were to look at your main caps/ girdle. If I was you I'd advise getting a Haynes manual, the best way to learn about the motor/car.

not a good thing to find in the oil pan! stop driving it and tear it apart or grab a new block.

the motor is out i bought it with a knock supposedly and this must have fell out when i was hand rotating it

well there's what you were hearing lol (or at least a contributing factor). you need to rip it apart

Yeah man... I didn't read it fully and I didn't see that you found that in your oil pan... The owner before you either didn't properly lube the washer in place right/placed on the wrong side or paid someone to do the job and messed it up... If it's a knock other than the thrust washer... When disassembling the motor check your crank for any damage from spun bearings (main caps or pistons). If your bearing is bad hopefully your crank isn't done. If there good I would check the pistons and try to sell the block and crank and make a few bucks to use for your Gsr build.
