Re: Budget full coilover, raceland (ep3 application)
anyone able to answer my other question for me? Do I need cambers right away after the coil installation? I have rear camber and front camber bolts, will the bolts do the job? Any recommendations?

you dont need a camber kit to instsall these. You will need an alignment because your front toe angle will be horrible

I have these and have no complaints, not as bouncy as everyone says. you will need and alignment but it shouldn't horrible. mine was barely out of wack.

Ok cool, my skunk2 springs have me sitting right about there. I have a tiny wheel gap and some days none and that's one of the reason I want coils some days Im lower then others and I need new struts. Im not looking to slam the car just lower it about 2 inches. I live over in the westend by short pump and go to VCU. What about yourself?

Hope I'm not crucified for resurrecting this thread, but its the best one I could find on these kits.
If anyone that posted still frequents the forum, let me know how they held up or how they died and after how long! Thanks!

On my 06 DC5 i put Eibach front bolts and Ingalls on the rear. The car drives perfectly. I also have an extra set of Eibach bolts, i thought i was going to need them but didn't.

they have a lifetime warranty so if anything goes wrong youll be able to get a replacement, one of the best warranties ive seen...they also have ultimos for the ep3 now that actually have decent spring rates

*Sigh*....just a note....good dampers for cars are are very involved. You need high quality steel, tight production tolerances and killer QC...Ricelands have none of these. I often tell people that if they want to buy a set of coilovers that will really make their cars handle better, plan on spending about $500 a corner. Thats what it takes. These shocks are total crap, put 10 of them on a shock dyno and you will see 10 different charts, take 10 of the springs and put them on a tension meter, you will get 10 different reading. Think I am full of it? go onto the SCCA forum...you know, the one where people that race cars are on....search riceland....there are half a dosen people that have tested these in their shops on their equipment.

You are correct that not everyone has the cash for a $2000 suspension, but personally no matter how good the warranty is, I would not want something that is going to have a spring snap or shock body come apart while driving (especially at highway speeds) like they are known to do. Essentially these things have "no-name" quality with a name slapped on them. You wouldn't back a no-name brand from ebay would you?

nahonda04...I get where you are comming from but I want people to Understand what these things are and what they are not....IMO, they are so bad that they are going to get someone killed if they have not already. These are the same thing as a noname parashoot....I don't know about you but I am not jumping out of an airplane with a noname parashoot and I would never put Ricelands on a car simply because I enjoy being above ground rather than 6 ft under it.

Honestly Raceland are pure utter **** period!
I would be caught dead with these are my car... I also understand that people will try to find a cheaper route but if you want to do your suspension you might as well wait a few more weeks save some more money and get some quality parts!
