Default 1994 K24 Honda Prelude-STU, USTCC, PTB-12,000

I am selling my 1994 K-swapped Prelude. Currently racing the car in TTB, PTB and H1. Plan to run Nats at Sonoma in November, but will sell immediately to a serious buyer. I bought the car in 2012 from Brandon Kraus, Who won the United States Touring Car Championship with it that year. This car was also HC1 Nationals runner up in either 2010 or 11, cant remember which. The built H22 that made 230whp was swapped out for a stock "bluetop" H23 vtec that year, and I raced on that motor for a season. At the beginning of 2013 a Stock K24A2 was swapped into the car. There were some birthing pains as this is a very rare swap. After some experimentation HASPORT has made bullet proof axles for the car, and it is now running flawlessly. Recent modifications include a custom ASP racing header that has really smoothed out the powerband. The car is not cosmetically perfect, and has the usual dings and donuts any racecar does. The car is faster than I am. In the current engine spec I have run 200.7 at thunderhill with bypass, and 1:52.5 at Sonoma. Specs are as follows:

1994 Honda Prelude-2290 Pounds without driver, 1/8 tank of fuel.
K24A2 Engine, stock, ASP Header, RBC Intake Manifold-210WHP/172 TQ, tuned by Jei Chang at Blacktrax
K20 6 Speed Tranny
K-Tuned Billet Shifter Box and race shifter cables-BEAUTIFUL Piece and shifts far superior to the plastic K20 Box.
Koni 2812 Dampers
BAER Big Brake System
Spherical Bearings at all points
Racetech HR Seat, past date, but car has welded seat-back brace so the seat, which is in excellent condition, can continue to be used.
Fire system, Full complement of gauges, gutted doors, dash etc.
APR Wing, Custom Splitter
Hondata KPRO engine management
Kaaz LSD
custom roll cage, Lexan side windows, rear window, carbon fibre hood, APR Wing
Schroth belts (time out in 2015 though)
custom brake lines with rear bias adjuster
Speedway rear sway bar
custom 3" exhaust, no sound issues
6 17x8 Rota grids with 4 Lightly used 235-40-17 Toyo RR and 6 245-40-17 Hankook Z214 C71 with two heat cycles
Accusump
Limited spares: Spare Axles, control Arms, pads.
The Car can be seen anytime at Evil Genius Racing.

10/4 Trades I'm interested in:

06+ R6 (NO R6s)
07+ CBR 600RR
04+ Gsxr 600/750

If it's been lowered, stretched, repainted, crashed, or heavily modified (beyond gears, exhaust, PC and suspension parts) I'm not interested. Looking for a clean title bike with original plastics and less than 15k miles.

I'm primarily interested in bikes in the $4-5k price range, $6k is over budget. I've found plenty of solid bikes in that 4-5k price range, but can stretch a little for something especially nice. Anything 2010+ worth buying is probably out of my price range.

Any trades would be the fair market value of the motorcycle, with cash equaling my asking price for the car (varies depending on if you want/don't want certain parts). Trading doesn't mean your bike is worth any more or my car, any less, just trying to streamline the process those who might have what I want, and want what I have.

PRICE DROP $8500 No extras (No race seat, race wheels or spares)

Willing to work with buyer pulling parts off the car to lower the price.

My initial goal was to build an autocross (SMF), track day and eventual NASA TT car that would be quick, reliable and street driven to events. The car never saw a track, I focused on autocross.

I purchased it in 2010 with the K swap. There were small details that had been overlooked/not done to my standards, but the swap was done with high quality parts, and it was a clean, straight chassis with a healthy drivetrain.

I kept the car basically as it was until mid-2013 when I totally rebuilt it; almost all of the things listed below have been done since the summer of 2013.

Every part listed was purchased new, unless noted otherwise. I tried to make the list all inclusive of the aftermarket parts but there’s also a ton of small OEM replacement stuff not mentioned. Every wear part on the car has, at most a thousand street miles and a season of autocross, most are a lot newer.

Where the car is at now it makes a fast and super reliable, local autox/trackday car (Will probably want a full size radiator for summer track days), but it’s a great base for a 100% SMF build (Built motor, baller shocks, aero ect).

Good driver, a set of 275's and a little development will make it a real competitor in SMF. You could also put the AC and radio back in and have a true street car.

Curb Weight = ~2070 lbs (SMF Minimum is 2050 with 2.4L)
Power = 231whp/192wtq on 93
Asking Price = $11,000

2007 K24A2 – Purchased from South Florida Auto Salvage with 42k miles on 12/27/2013. Looked at a 7-8 motors, this was the only one with perfect leak down numbers. Literally came out of a grandma’s automatic TSX.

MFactory Magnetic Drain Bolts (Engine and Trans)
Koyo Differential Bearings
Karcepts 36mm Hubs (/w ARP Studs, Koyo wheel bearings)

15x6.5 Steelies with 205/50/15 Yokohama S. Drives. I use these for storage, or in case I need to drive the car on the street.

15x8 +35 Kosei K1, The hub bores were machined from Miata to Honda hub bore, no spacer required. These wheels were bought from a racer, one has some minor curbing and another has some more significant gouging. I bought them this way; they’ve all held air and balanced perfectly over the 2 years I’ve been auto crossing on them and it has never worried me.

225/45 Z214 C71 with 6 events, lots of life left

Suspension – was bone stock until early 2013, it’s been developed over that time. All parts purchased new.

Corner Balancing & Alignments by Albert @ APEX ALIGNMENT – All specs on file
Modified Manual Steering Rack with Quafie 2.5 LTL (QSF10U001) quick ratio kit for the 4th gen civic/crx. Body/Interior

Painted by the previous owner. Body/interior is Frost White, Roof is black, bay is blue. Paint has held up very well over the time I’ve owned the car but it has nicks and dings, most from me being careless with tools. I’d rate it 8/10.

There was a small bit of rust in the driver side rear fender lip. I painted it with POR15 when I bought the car and it hasn’t changed/spread at all. 2 small bubbles in the paint and the rest was only in the inner lip of the fender, and isn’t visible without getting under the car. Rest of underside is super clean, definitely never saw real winters.

The hood has 3 dings from below where it was hitting when I first swapped the K24 and RBC.

A leaky brake master cylinder caused some paint wrinkling in that corner of the bay. It was replaced with a new oem MC.

Interior is in awesome shape, (I remove the radio, speakers, rear seats, seatbelts and cargo cover per SMF rules, but I have them, they are in perfect condition).

Ultrashield 15’’ Spec Miata Seat
BuddyClub Super Lowdown Sliders
Momo Monte Carlo Wheel
Momo 4911 Hub

Default Re: FS: Race Cars

The time has come to Sell my 2nd Integra. It was a fun track car, but right now i have to focus on my Green one.

1995 Acura Integra GSR
Clean title in hand...Which probably wont matter if you are going to Race it.
95xxx miles on the chassis and the motor.
Fully Caged.. All Chromoly Tig welded (whoever did the cage, did a great job)
Single Sparco Evo Seat, Solid mounted to floor.
Gforce 5 pt harness
Stack electronic oil pressure gauge
Gutted interior, Heater and Defroster still work for the Rain races.

Will come tuned on Crome pro, if you want Hondata S300 V3 it would be an extra $450. (Brand new)
For the true racer, i would do S300 as you can log oil pressure and set up a failsafe.
Car made 183whp/129tq on our dynojet
Skunk 2 Pro series intake mani
GSC N1 Cams
GSC Valve Springs
Hytech knock off Header
2.5” Exhaust with Mangaflow muffler. (pretty quiet actually)
Moroso Oil pan 5.5 qt Road race oil pan. (uses stock sump and has 5 trap doors)
Sweet Custom intake

Car will come with Nex Racing Coilovers (couldn’t tell you what springs)
I do have a Set of BRAND NEW in the Box KONI 8041’s that can go for the right price.
AMR Rear camber kit
Skunk 2 front camber kit (not 100% on brand)

ASR Rear subframe brace with all hardware
24mm Adjustable Rear sway bar. For an Extra $200 you can have these. Will come with a stock GSR Sway bar.

TRM 15x7 wheels with Hoosier SM6’s (205/50/15) And will throw in another set of good used Hoosier SM7’s

Poor mans ITR Front brake kit with Raybestos ST43’s upfront. Stock GSR in the gear.

Car weighs 2540 with me in it.

All around great track car with good power.

Asking $6500.
360-213-5127 for serious buyers.
Located in Vancouver WA

Purpose: Race/Track Car

Price: 8500 OBO

This car has been setup for NASA Time Trials (TT-C [Ran for 2+ years with NASA-AZ in this class]) and NASA Honda Challenge (H2). Some modifications may have to be made to fit either class depending on your purpose for the car (part changes, etc). This car is a turn key track car with a few very minor repairs needed (see below). I will also be selling the car with additional items (see below), these can be removed to change the price, but I'd rather sell all together as they go with the car.

This car IS street legal and currently tagged until December 2014, emissions will be required at that time. I have all the equipment to make it pass Arizona/Maricopa County/Phoenix emissions very easily. Car has been tuned by Tony @ UMSTuning and runs 192 WHP daily. All glass is OEM, driver and passenger door windows are still installed, manual crank windows do work (for storage purposes) and rear side windows do angle out out for air movement. Rear hatch does work and support struts hold hatch up. Car has lived in my garage for the past 2 years between track events, the motor has about 4,000 miles on it (to and from the track along with track miles). Compression and leakdown tests are good and the motor is in great shape minus a few rubbing issues with the hood (which has now been cut to clear). All gauges, headlights, turn signals and brake lights work and have proper wiring and lighting for night events, speedometer is accurate. Oil changes are made every other track event, motor has minor oil consumption (as any higher revving IT-R motor does).

I'm selling as I (and many others) have moved on to another project and work has been busier than average over the past year or so. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at the number listed above. No joyrides, the car is located in Ahwatukee, AZ and I am available most weekdays after 4pm and most weekends with ample notice. Please share with friends and help me find a good home for this car!

Default 94 Honda Civic Si w/ABS

Sold

I’m updating the post for my ’94 Civic Si since the buyer had to back out of the sale. I’ve done a bit of work on the car since the last posting. A few of the parts that were up for negotiation will be listed on their own…

One of the big changes to the car is the relocated and centralized ABS electronics and now includes the Recaro SPG in the sale. Since I had some time to work on the car I decided to finalize and go through with the ABS relocation and a few other items.

Edited original post:

The ‘94’s current state is Time Trial ready - minus cage - and currently registered for street use. The ‘94 will come with the parts listed below.

I bought the ‘94 new on October 28, 1993 with 28 miles on it; 10 of which I put on it during the test drive. For the ’94 model year Honda reintroduced Frost White for the Si line. My Si was the third white Si in Washington and the first with ABS giving it the same brakes as the - new at the time - Integra. During my time with the ‘94 it has had many different roles and been through many different configurations, but always enjoyed and taken care of.

Even when I was young there were no short cuts taken with this car always trying to keep it current and in tune with what I liked at the time. One of my goals was to keep the ‘94 as factory as possible whether it is from Honda, MOMO, Mugen, Recaro, Spoon Sports, and Toda. I’m a big fan of factory parts where applicable.

During my time autocrossing the ‘94 I backdated the dash to a NIB ’92 non airbag dash to eliminate the passenger airbag and all of the associated parts. While the ‘94 was down a few years ago I took the time to remove all of the wiring harnesses and remove the unnecessary wiring and reconfigure them where it suited my needs. In preparation for the cage I sold the complete interior minus the dash and console.

The information above is just a snippet of all the information I have on the ‘94.

I can personally vouch for this car and seller. This is by far one of the nicest, fastest, best set up cars that I have ever driven. The car is absolutely beautiful, and immaculately clean. Any buyer would not be dissappointed as the car is a STEAL at this price!! I am very sad to see this go, but hopefully it goes to a good home and is well taken care of !!

Default FS: 1987 Civic Si, Honda Challenge 5 / SCCA ITB

SOLD

For sale is my 1987 Honda Civic Si. I purchased this car used in 1995 with 70,000 miles. It then became my autocross car and finally my road race car. I raced from 2004-2007 in NASA's Honda Challenge 5 class. In 2007, I won a regional championship. In 2009 I moved up to NASA Spec3. The car was an awesome racecar and very easy to drive at the limit. I hate to get rid of it, but I haven't done anything with the car. My son started racing karts two seasons ago and he will be moving into road racing next year. It is time to let this one go.

The car has sat for at least three years. I am selling it as a non-running unit only because the buyer will need go through the car and change all the fluids. It was running when I parked it. Weather has taken a toll on the car, but it is still in good condition.

Here is what it has (as best I can remember):

Engine bored 40 over.
DC Sports Header
Energy Suspension Bushings
23mm Torsion Bars
Tokiko Illumina Adjustable Struts Front and Rear
OPM Limited Slip Differential
Custom Final Drive (I don't remember the numbers)
Adjustable Camber Plates
Full Roll Cage
Kirkey Aluminum Driver's Seat with side head protection
Full Length Racing Mirror
Panasport Wheels
Many, MANY, MANY, spares (too much to list, mainly engine and body panels)

I am not interested in parting the vehicle out. This is for local pickup only. The car would be great for autocross, ITB, or vintage racing.

SOLD

Reposting this from CB7Tuner.com, the particulars, I am currently in Oklahoma for work, car is in Charlotte, NC. I will be back in town for 1 day on July 23 if anyone would like to look at the car.

In September I will be moving to NJ, if I don't sell this by then, I will be towing it up there and continue trying to sell it.

As a pilot I'm going to be spending a lot of time in the air, and not on the road course where this thing needs to be. It isn't currently prepped to the max extent possible for SMF, but it could be with the removal of AC and the interior, or keep those and use this as a fun daily. The choice is yours.

As much as it pains me to do so it is time to part with my CB7. I've come to the realization that with my job there is pretty much no way I will have time to bring back to life my "race car" and use it, at least not for the next 10 years, so rather than let it rot I am posting it for sale. I may be interested in parting out, but if you want the engine, you're gonna have to pull it yourself.

Now let's get to the particulars:

Price: $4,000 negotiable.

Location: Charlotte, NC

Member's ride thread: The G-Man : 1993 Accord LX - CB7Tuner Forums

Brief history: I bought this car in March 2006 with 176,000 miles at the age of 16. Took good care of it and drove it every day until September 2012. In November 2011 I swapped in the H23 VTEC and T2T4 tranny. Drove for about a month when I discovered a tranny issue. Had the tranny bearings replaced by a reputable local Honda shop and didn't get the tranny back in until February 2012. After that I drove the car every day (which wasn't much, less than 2 miles to school, and 10 miles to work). So I figure about 8,000 miles since the swap. In September 2012 I bought a 2006 Civic to drive every day and the Accord has pretty much been sitting since I moved to Texas in May 2013. I drove it over the 4th of July in 2013 and then in August 2013 something happened with the ECU which I later diagnosed to be a bad ECU board. There is also something strange happening with the clutch (car doesn't want to go into gear). So the car has not moved on it's own since August 2013.

The bad:
- Not currently running
-Paint faded
-Gotta get the ECU back from repair
-Front bumper cracked
-Dunlop Direzza tires worn
-Small scratch on the inside of 1 wheel from a brake caliper that came loose

The good:
