Default idle problem J32A1

i have a 99 acura tl with about 186,000 miles on it. i had the ignition switch replaced at the dealership in 2012. on may 6 2014 i went to work, all was normal. when i went to leave work, it would not start. only when i put my foot on the gas, then it would start. the second i lift my foot off the gas, it shut off. i was thinking the ignition switch went again because that is exactly what happen before. so i parked it. and then on may 14 2014 (today) in the morning before i left for work, i started it just to check it out, and it started but had a very low idle. almost to the point of not running. then later that night i hooked my actron scan tool up to it and it ran fine. no codes, no check engine light i took it for a spin around the block, came home, shut it off for about 10-15 minutes and started it again. this time the idle was a little bit lower. normally its at about 700. right now it varries between 500 and zero. im not really a car mechanic but i am inclined and able to understand when tought. can somebody help me to understand what might be going on? thanks.

Sounds like the idle air control motor may be bad or dirty. Try taking it off first and cleaning it out. Once you have cleaned it and re-installed it reset the ECU and start it and let it idle for about 5 min to relearn the idle curve.

take the intake boot off and you will see a hole in the bottom of the throttle body, with the car running you should be able to plug that hole and the idle will return to normal. if it does, the IACV is bad
