So the car started randomly not locking with either fob, or the drivers door switch. It has progressed now to not locking at all. The car and both key fobs have new batteries. It has been through the second recall for the drivers door switch, so it is brand new. I also replaced the drivers door actuator as I thought that was the issue but it didn't fix it. This seems temperature related as well. The car is garaged, but sits outside while my wife works daily. When it's warmer, it "sometimes" works, but when cold it doesn't at all now. The weird thing is, it unlocks just fine with both fobs and the switch, it just seems like something is telling it not to lock. This is frustrating because we can't lock the car now as the tail gate really can't be locked.

I'd really appreciate any insight on this....

I had a similar problem with mine, after it had been sitting unused for several months, the alarm would engage but for some reason the locks wouldn't. I found that opening and slamming all the doors (including the hatch) several times fixed it.

'Can't provide any insight, but I can empathize with you. I have found the whole locking/security system to be buggy in the 07 Fit. In my case it will randomly not unlock with the door handle button. I park the car, turn the engine off and unlock the door, only to have it re-lock itself immediately. So I unlock, it re-locks. So I try to grab the the little locking tab and manually keep it from re-locking, and it just pulls through my fingers and re-locks.

I take the key out of the ignition and unlock it with the fob and it works. My guess is that it has something to do with leaving the key in the ignition. It's like, "Hey buddy, you're not getting outta here until you take the key with you!".

Very strange, these Honda's. I have now installed a hammer.
